okay so there's a high probability that my intercooler is broke and if I can't get a free or cheap 2nd hand side mount one i consider a seat sport FMIC.

My question is about the pipework, on eBay there are several universal alloy intercooler pipe kits with difference widths, what widths are needed for the seat FMIC? They do seem cheap at around £70

Also how many hours labour would it be to fit it all? Roughly

You can order the pipework from forge - and i think that it is about £250.

Not sure if the universal pipework will fit well / at all....

fmic ebay kits absolutely ****!

you need the forge seat sport pipes for the 130tdi

the forge kit comes with adapters to fit oem pipework and map sensor mount (which ebay kits do not)

you will also lose one bumper fixing

its DIY tbh just use forge's guide for fitting the forge fabia fmic and it tells you how to remove bumper etc

no you don't need egr delete at all

the forge piping connects via the adaptors...

one onto the bottom of the big plastic pipe in the engine bay

and one to the 90 degree metal pipe under the car

i on the other hand replaced all these pipes so was metal all the way from the turbo to the inlet

at great expense :(

The FMIC I'm looking at doesn't come with anything else just the intercooler.

Was reading the guide, I could prob do half then get stuck and be left in a rite pickle lol. So if I got a friend to do it how many hours should it take them?

you need the intercooler mounting brackets also!

well id say....

your talking a good half day 4 hours from scratch if you know what your doing....

if you don't a days graft 8 hours should cover it

according to seremotors on SCN (the SEAT dealer that everyone seems to buy their intercoolers from), SEAT have recently increased the price - £300 delivered inc brackets and bolts
