Bluefin Stage 2 Re Map

Featured Replies

Have any of you guys any experience with the Bluefin stage 2 remap that is available?

I have spoke to them and they confirm it would be suitable for the 07 VRS petrol provided the vehicle had a sports cat fitted.

I have TRIED to do some research into said sports cat options with limited success...

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I'd be looking to change the cat only as opposed to replacing the entire exhaust system.

Thanks for any pointers !

Hi mate , i have a Pipewerx downpipe ,it is top notch fits perfect to standard cat back and goes real well with my stage 2 Sharkperformance map emoticon-0144-nod.gif.

Cheers for the reply!

I take it the Pipewerx downpipe would replace the standard cat as superchips are requiring?

How much did that cost you if you dont mind me asking!

<KC>

Yup it would - quite a few happy Pipewerx customers here, me included.

The _only_ reason to go for the Superchips stage 2 is if you've already paid for the stage 1, and are only giving them £50 for the upgrade. If you're forking out the full amount of money to go straight into stage 2, forget about it - plenty of better options about, Sharky's stage 2 is particularly impressive and notably quicker than even the Superchips stage2+ map.

If it's an upgrade from stage 1, then quite interesting to try for £50 I thought.

Thanks Timmy!

I've emailed them asking for a price etc.

I've only owned the VRS for a few weeks now but I am coming from a Mondeo ST TDCi which was Bluefinned

so I have the handset and it is cheap(ISH) to get it reset for the VRS.

I take it fitting is handy enough?

Seriously, I'd reconsider. Unless you're getting a special rate, it's still fairly pricey to get the handset reset to be able to map your VRS. If you do go to the expense of sticking a downpipe on (just shy of £500 including delivery if memory serves - speak to the direct and you'll get a discount hopefully) you should really back that up with a decent map - Superchips stage 2 really doesn't fit the bill. I speak from personal experience, as does Sy who will no doubt add his opinion in due course :)
