Might be worth checking

Sudden loss of near-side main beam last week.

On checking, dealer found terminals on controller corroded due to faulty seal.

Controller changed but fault had blown the bulb as well. So new headlamp unit being fitted tomorrow at great expense to Skoda, no doubt.

Hopefully mine's a one-off but I wouldn't expect this on a car only 8 weeks old so, it might be worth checking yours.

(Not technically minded so I wouldn't even know where to start looking for the control unit)
