Towbar Preparation

When I bought my new Octavia it was unregistered showroom stock from a "cancelled fleet order".

The paperwork was totally screwed up and as a result they were unable to register it until Skoda UK had issued new papers.

The upshot was that they priced it up on the wrong spec and missed the curtain airbags and MDI which I effectively got for free.

In the boot I have found an adaptor that looks as though it is for towbar electrics. It has 13 connections on one end and 7 on the other. I can't believe that this would be supplied with every new Octavia (or is it?) so does it mean that I also have towbar preparation? Is there anything to look for that will tell me?

I am unlikely ever to use a towbar - just curious!

I got just the new software version 1989. Curious what's it is gonna bring. Already satisfied with 1985 but i love gadgets and up to date materials. One thing from the beginning with software 1969 til now mine park to pay or pay to park still not working. But i am not using that anyway to prices of parking are ridiculous. So i hope this one is even better then 1985 we will see.

Hi All, I know this is a topic that seems to have been covered a million times but my vRS has become a problem child. It was losing a small amount of coolant and I would get the odd whisp of steam from the back, I diagnosed a leaking EGR Cooler (confirmed with off car pressure test) and a small water pump leak. One is the reversable boot floor, carpet one side and a sort of plastic the other. Both items are in great condition too Second is a rear sun screen, it's a mesh material in a metal frame that you clip inside the hatch window, it keeps out a ton of heat and you can take it out for winter, you can't see into the car also. My 280 had tinted side windows but the rear glass was not done. Both are huge and would be prohibitively awkward to post. If you want either you WILL need to come to Swindon.

Another day, another reverse camera and I’m very proud to say that I can confirm the reverse camera can be fitted to the 2020 model year Facelift Superb. The camera fitting on these is a bit different with the new rear plinth but that actually makes it easier to fit. I am super pleased I could confirm this works on the FL Superb.
