Anyone ordered the Eibach Lowering Kit ?

Featured Replies

Just rang around a few local dealers to order the kit (ZGB1Z3071676 = £195.74) for my Octy vRS due to arrive in a few weeks. I have told that this is now a discontinued item and has been from 2/10/2008?!?!? This date was perhaps for the pre-FL but I'm not sure.

Any FL drivers had any issues ordering these?

Would buy them in an instant, but where does my warranty stand? I'm allowed any modification to my company car as long as it is OEM. As far as I'm aware the Skoda supplied ones come with a Skoda marking on them?

.. they come in a skoda box, but I can't remember if they have a skoda mark on the actual springs?

I ordered these - arrived along with my car Feb this yr.

The Skoda ones are/were made by Eibach. I'd be surprised if they had anything more than a Skoda part no. on the cardboard box!! I could also be wrong though...

Hmmmm, in which case they'd never know. For those that have the Skoda do they look exactly the same as the Awesome Eibach link above? Colour, spec, etc. Also what life span should these springs have?

Doubt they're any different to normal springs. Ask Awesome re warranty.

Just to confirm having spoken to Skoda UK this morning the Part Number: ZGB1Z3071676 Octavia Hatchback Lowering Springs has been discontinued. They didn't tell me why the springs have gone but sadly they have. Not sure wheter the estate version is still about but it's still a kick in the knackers for people who wanted to drop their Octy without having any warranty issues.
