Hi guys,

just realised my FM problems are being caused by a faulty aerial base...

Does anyone have a step by step guide to fully replace the aerial???

I'm a bit confused here. I also removed the mast by pulling on the thing. Is it possible to replace the mast? or will i need to buy a whole new unit?????

Whole complete aerial unit (base and antenna) cost me about £42.00 approx 3 years ago from Skoda parts dept, for my 2005 Fabia VRS.

Open tail gate, pull back/away rubber tail-gate seal, pull head-lining downwards, this will reveal aerial base and cable connection to front of car.

Disconnect aerial cable, 10mm spanner to undo aerial base nut and remove.

Replacement in reverse procedure.

There's a PCB in the Aeriel base, Which is killed when water gets in!
