I fitted a oil catch tank,to a octavia 4x4 1.8t ,after about 1000 miles I emptied the tank to find 90% water came out with oil,300ml approx.I havent lost any water from coolent tank.Could this be due to condensation in the cold weather?

It's condensation, don't worry. What collects in mine is normally 90% water.
