Starting on choke Everytime (vrs)

Featured Replies

Evening all , I've had this problem before , When I turn over the engine after the engine is warm it starts on choke and takes longer to start . Last time I put a new cooling sensor in her and it sorted it and done the same again this time but it's still doing it . I can't remember if I had it on a VAG-com after the first time to clear the fault or not . Can anyone shead any light on the problem or will it just need clearing with the VAG-com ??

Did you use a genuine VAG part?

Yes , got from the same place as I got the other one . Could the part be faulty ? Because I would of thought it would of cured it

What do you mean by 'on choke'? We did away with carbs, and hence chokes, 20 odd years ago.

I assume you have a warm starting problem? Getting any fault codes read is a good place to start.
