Hi,

I have a FL 2010 Octavia with BOLERO head unit. I bought a quadlock RCA out adaptor which I hoped would work but didn't, so I need a way to get a clean pre-amp signal to my amplifier ... I'm using a speaker to RCA convertor now temporarily but it's absolutely unacceptable.

I have read the COLUMBUS and possibly the BOLERO can be coded to output low-level from the speaker outs, has anyone tried this?

Also does anyone have experience with factory system integration processors like Alpine IMPRINT, JL Audio Cleansweep, etc..

I have optical parking sensors, bluetooth, steering controls, maxidot and dual zone climate so I really don't want to go for an aftermarket head unit and lose all that.. not to mention it will look rubbish on the dash.. I understand all these should work with the COLUMBUS?

I went with a Blaupunkt PNP Amplifier, 4 X 150W ( 4 x 75WRMS) and it is superb, fits under the passenger seat and connects directly to my Columbus via a car specific loom, really is just plug and play, it used speaker level inputs the ouputs vi the loom directly to the cars existing wiring loom, and sounds fantastic, even on the standard weedy speakers, once I have got my Focal Utopia's in it will really sound good........just got to wait for it to stop raining here for long enough to fit them........not a problem you have

You're gonna run Focal Utopia's off the standard Blaupunkt harness using speaker inputs?? Doesn't sound like a good idea to me.. your system will only be as good as it's weakest like and in this case the speaker-line convertor inside the Blaupunks amp will severely affect your sound quality...

I have an amp already, Focal FP 5.500 (75x4 and 300x1) and Rainbow Platinum midbass with Rainbow Profi tweeters...

I need to get a clean pre-amp signal.. anyone tried the recoding that changes the speaker outs to pre-outs?
