Hi comrades just need some help I clean my cars quite often,some of my friends and family think I have a problem!,here's the question I wash with mequires nxt wash and wax shampoo but I should apply a polish next yes?if so I have loads of auto glym resin polish so I would apply this,then on top mequires nxt wax is this ok or should I use mequires polish instead of the auto glym I have 2 fabias 1 brand new this week black magic pearl and the 2nd is a fabia cappuchinno 08 plate so any input would be great

Use the AGSRP after you have washed and dried the car....Its designed this way

Finish off with a couple of layers of wax...an hour apart

Are you using Megs Nxt Tech Wax? If so this will not sit well over the top of AG SRP, SRP has fillers in it to mask swirls and scratches which is why it's a popular product, Nxt Tech Wax is similar but not to the same level, it contains micro abrasives so in theroy can take off any SRP you have put on................... :yes:

It is safe to use of course but there are better products on the market that are more than likely cheaper in the long run, Megs Nxt Tech Wax was replaced by Tech Wax 2.0 but both aren't high on the durbaility stakes............ :no:

here is the result with agsrp and mequires both worked fine together

I don't see why you'd feel the need to wax after every wash? Unless you're not washing that often!

Better to find a wax with better durability, that can comfortably last for months per application.

I experimented with this on my Mum's Micra and Collinite 476S. It's an everyday commuter workhorse and no other paint prep or work was done. It hadn't been properly detailed or anything. Just washed in the normal way, dried, then 2 coats of 476S, 24hrs apart. The Collinite was still causing water to bead after just short of 12 months.

Hi wardy thanx for the spell check,to be honest it a bit of a fetish for me,wash the car at least once a week no failbut I dont wax after every wash,maybe once 4 month but I only apply little amount about a pea size per metre square,polish maybe twice a year as these cars are new to me one being brand new wanted to give then a thorough job,and then just keep it clean and tidy the reason I have used meguiars and autoglym together because I bought a job lot of it cheap so until this is gone wont buy nothing else
