Driving my second Superb Mk1 and both have had the same problem. Window regulator gone. I was supposed to get it changed last week but garage man was having trouble getting a used one. Now I'm thinking should I even bother with a used one as if this part has gone twice on me before then maybe a used one in working order is only a month or two of usage away from going t!ts up? any opinion on this job?

I had my one replaced with a used one a year ago, and haven't had any problems. I would rather pay £20 for a used one with all the attached danger of it needing to be replaced again, then to spend £200 on a new one.

BTW, the one from the Passat (up to 2005) is the exact same Window regulator (on Front Windows), and a perfect fit. The one I goty was from a passat, and most local scrapyards will have a lot of B5 Passats standing around.
