central locking query?

after a few weeks of 'going round the houses' trying to get my central locking working, ive sorted it- thanks to a new convenience unit and citting off and resoldering the door feed junction in the n/s/f footwell.. so far so good..

anyway, after sorting it, i noticed that the adjustable mirrors wern't working? and everytime i opened any door, the hazards would go off for 30 seconds or so- i wasnt too bothered as i was chuffed with the locking! anyway battery went flat the other day, jumpstarted it and mirrors started working and hazards stopped going off with door opening... so something had obviously reset??

today, locked car (with key- no remote as only one key) held key fully anticlockwise- all windows went down, held key fully clockwise- all windows went up.. then back to hazards on (30secs) and no electric mirrors??

disconnected battery- reset whatevers resetting??? and back to mirrors and normal door opening (no 30 sec hazards)

sounds to me as if its alarm related?? (i think the horn has been disconnected)

any ideas on this would be appreciated
