Good Price?

Featured Replies

I'm looking at a June 2010 6000 mile petrol DSG vRS with bluetooth, MDI, metallic and parking sensors. Is £17k a good price? Look at autotrader it seems to be a middle of the road asking price but what's actual the going rate for a car like that?

Cheers,

Mackie.

No. You can buy new for cheaper.

Drive The Deal price starts around 16k.

The Drive The Deal price with the spec I'm looking at would be £18214. Maybe an offer of around £16.5k would be fair? Not having to wait 3-6 months is worth something to me.

I didn't spot the DSG bit.

But it seems you've answered your own question!

Email/phone a bunch of Skoda dealers with your requirements and see who's keen to deal.

I'm getting a brand new diesel DSG with a few options for 16k

Can I ask how and where from? The Drive The Deal price (as an indicator) would be over £20k!

Ordered before, or after, the recent changes to the discount structure?

I bet you are. Fantastic price! You could probably sell it straight away and make 2k if you wanted to :p

I was at an auction last week and a blue vrs hatch with 6k on the clock 59 plate full leather went through and sold for £15,000

Bit unfair to compare with armed forces prices. Not realistic for most of us.

Exactly, simply not available for the vast majority of people.

Drive the deal or carfile prices are about the best 'normal' people can hope to achieve.

Managed to secure it at £16.5k which I'm pretty happy with.
