Hi, I've recently picked up my 54 plate VRS in black from a local dealer, on the drive home my brother, whos a mechanic noticed a slight whining noise coming from the gearbox, so the following day i returned the car to the dealer and they agreed to replace the box for a reconditioned one (result).. Got it back after a week and the gear box is mint, after taking the vrs for a spin for my first proper drive I've noticed a loud hissing noise coming from the front drivers side wheel while the car is under boost, took it to my brothers garage, popped it on the ramp and after a quick check over it was just a loose pipe that needed tightening..Happy days.
