Anyone know how to remove the side repeater from the wing mirror? Do I just go at it with a big screwdriver and hope for the best and swear alot or is there a more civilised method of doing it.

Also is the part no 1Z0949102D correct for the offside repeater on a 2007 tdi?

1) Place fingers behind the top of the mirror glass.

2) Pull down and out gently to remove the glass from the wing mirror.

3) Disconnect the electrical connector to the LED repeater.

4) Remove the two securing screws.

5) Replace and refit.

Better order a new mirror glass then as its bound to go wrong at that point!

I knew somthing simple would be a pain.

The mirror glass wont come out and im worried Ill break it or one of its fixings (what ever they are).

It's literally a circular clip in the centre of the glass just give it a tug, be aware there are spade connectors for the heated glass, if you do break it I have a spare mirror (heated) for the drivers side which you are welcome to have if you cover postage.

Edit: give me 5 minutes and I will take a picture of the mirror back.

Too dark out there now, should have the parts tuesday so ill give it a go then. Thanks for the glass offer, I might need to talke you up on it!
