Hi, after just a month of great driving I have noticed my first damage, a stone must have hit my nearside wing mirror indicator lense, putting a nice hole in it, and allowing lots of moisture to get in.

My question is, has anyone replaced the indicator unit in the wing mirror, for what I can see there is just 1 star drive screw to remove from behind the mirror.

I have been quoted £17 for a replacement unit, and half hour labour, bringing total to about £100. If its easy to do myself I quite fancy saving the labour charge.

darren...as you have presumed its a relatively simple job to do. The total that you have been quoted of around £100 is daylite robbery....thats why we call em stealer dealers. Buy the unit and do the job yourself....you'll get great satisfaction and you will have learnt something...have fun...do it yourself.

m8 my light was steamed up i took it bk to skoda they replaced it under warrenty worth a try save you money my car was over a year old and its a taxi
