Hi all,

Ive noticed recently that when the engine is hot and i restart.... immediately after fire up the revs ( blip ) go up without any input from me, they then settle down to idle speed again... This does not happen all the time though ? Has anybody experienced something similar, this is niggling me ....... thanks in advance. Lee

Temp sender fault or a leaky incector I would say

Hi Lee,I had exactly the same problem with my 90bhp Octy and it turned out to be a faulty coolant temperature sender.Vagcom should be able to find the fault.

Hi guys,

Thank you for the replies and advice ..... much appreciated :)

When I start my TDI110 (when the engines warm) if I get in and start quickly mine also blips as if I had the throttle part pressed, if I turn the key to ign 2 position for a second so you actually see glow plug light come on rather than turing key quickly it starts without blipping. My friends pd130 passat is exactly the same. We assumed they all did it and it was just because we rushed it between off and cranking, dont usually actually wait for glow plug light to go out but just seeing it for a second seems to make it start ok.
