Electric seats for vRS

Featured Replies

Hello

I've just taken delivery of a new vRS and although I'm generally very happy with the car, I'd like to look at swapping out the front seats for electrically adjustable alternatives.

Although I've seen a few references on here to other seats fitting the Octavia (Audi A3, Golf, some Recaros?), does anyone know if this includes electric versions? I wouldn't be looking to do this myself, so any recommendations for a good place to go would be gratefully received.

Not too fussed about the cost, within reason (reason being not paying £2k each for high-end Recaros!!).

Thanks

Ben

Should be do-able, although the wiring/memory control module may not be there? I think the Elegance is available with these-might be possible to find one being broken, or new from dealer might still be cheaper than Recaros?

Seat Surgeons in York get plenty of mentions on here for leather work-might be worth a call?

Coding of retro fitted electrics can often be done by a friendly member with VCDS/Vagcom who knows what they are doing, or else Ben @ Shark Performance, a site sponsor. (shark_90)

Thanks for your reply - glad to hear it seems possible!

I checked with Seat Surgeons and they don't install replacement seats, just re-upholster existing ones. I'll have a chat to the dealer, as you suggest...

Thanks

Ben

You could get the seats from an Elegance or L&K. Just make sure the seat controller and wiring come with it.

The hardest part will be the wiring & coding as everything else will fit no problem.
