Kenwood KDC-BT61U any good? Possible alternatives...?

Featured Replies

Been thinking of getting a Parrot bluetooth kit (MKi9200) for g/f's Fabia vRS but it seems that for not much more you can get a brand new head unit including integrated bluetooth. Been looking at a few and wondered if anyone had any experience of the Kenwood KDC-BT61U? Is it any good? Decent sound quality?

By no means stuck on this particular model so if anyone has any other recommendations then I'd be happy to hear (similar price). Main things I'm looking for are:

- single DIN

- iPod connectivity (i.e. control iPod via head unit)

- Bluetooth with full hands free (i.e. voice dialling)

- CD (seems not all of them have CD nowadays)

Just in case anyone's wondering, this is the Kenwood unit:

KDC-BT60U

(This is actually the KDC-BT60U...not sure if this is a country specific thing but the Kenwood website doesn't have anything for KDC-BT61U - yet in UK stores, that's what it seems to be advertised as, such as here)

:)
