aerial- please help

Featured Replies

I have come to remove my standard one and it will unscrew and then it will just keep spinning is there a way that i am unaware of on how to remove it to fit a stubby one

i had exactly the same issue when i removed mine. It has an anti theft "barb" fitted so the only way to remove it is to yank it sharply. It took me three attempts and i thought i was going to pull the whole thing off the roof.

What new aerial are you putting on? I'm looking to do the same and unsure what to go for

i will get a pic of it when fitted and send you a link to where i got it from if you like

I was wondering how to do this. I didn't realise that brute force is required.

all done and now i have the new one fitted, i will update with a pic later

Thats a Citroen aerial (in the picture above)

We have one on our SDI and I have

a Mk 5 Golf sharkfin on my vRS. You may find reception will suffer

a little out in the sticks but in town it should be ok

Cheers for the link n pic! Looks good

It's next on the to-do list

Buy this one it's cheaper and exactly the same item.

Can't believe that robbing get in the link above wants £7.75 :o

Mine was £4 when I bought it

Save a little money and buy this one instead

Thanks grr666, much appreciated :)

The only problem with those is that they are GSM phone aerials so the radio is going to be rubbish.

well so far the radio is not to bad and i work out in the sticks, but most of the time i tend to listen to cds/ipod any way so its not to much of an issue. I have kept the original in case i decide to go for a really long drive and want to listen to the radio

I'm the same, use my ipod consistently. Its more for looks than function  and will stop the spoiler getting scratched!!

Higgy I've got one rolling around under my handbrake if you want it?

Bought itn fitted it, but found reception suffered too much for the other half to live me on her daily commute

Call if a fiver and i'll post it your way
