Biodiesel in Germany

Featured Replies

Hello people.

I think someone has mentioned this before, but I cannot find the thread.

Biodiesel is most widely spread in Germany out of all the EU countries, and travelling across Germany in a couple of weeks I am considering using Biodiesel as my car, a 2.5 tdi, can run B100 no problems. Does anyone here have any feedback on the savings per litre? The pound is quite week so foreign holidays are quite expensive for us Brits these days. I cannot find any information on the internet. But I have found one good site that lists all the Bio fuel stations by postcode, and there are some just off the A3 B-A-B where I will be passing through anyway.

My link

If it's just a few cents difference, I won't bother really, though it would be nice to save the planet. With the "ventectomy" mod I should be able to make it across the Fatherland without fuelling stops anyway....

Any info appreciated.

The listing is very likely out of date. I know at least 2 Supol stations in Nurnberg and they have stopped selling pure biodiesel (B100) altogether, they only were selling B7-B15 or so, at least in 2009-2010.

Yes, I also could do with a current, up to date list of B100 suppliers, not just Germany but the rest of Europe as well.
