Front Caliper bolt thread?

One of mine has stripped in the hub assembly. I think they are M9?? Are they M9 x 1.25 thread, as if so, I can get a helicoil kit and repair it????

I wouldn't personally risk such an important bolt with a helicoil, unfortunatly its a new hub you need :(

Yea, I'd only go for a new hub (or one from a scrappy - tis what I did before)

Found the thread now.

It is M9 x 1.25

Will be fitting a helicoil, as these are stronger than the original thread. Some car manufacturers are now putting helicoils in some threads as standard.....

Or you could upgrade to the vrs calipers which have a decent carrier setup :)

I've got a spare pair for sale if you want, £50. You'd just need hubs.

If the helicoil is done properly, you shouldn't have any problems, I brought my leon cupra with a thread gone on the gearbox connecting to a mount.. I didn't helicoil it my self, was done from a garage, but has been working spot on every since! Saved me a fortune, and in-turn got me a very very cheap cupra! :)
