can anybody help, my mate is selling his de cat pipe( miltek ) i was looking at putting it on with my standard fabia vrs exhaust? he saidit makes a diffrence with noise and performance. Can anybody help me and tell me if its worth it as i can get it real cheap!! thank you

prob 75-100quid second hand, your need a reducer to fit to standard centre section so wont be a direct fit.

A full system will give you a little extra noise, but a decat and a standard pipe will make very little difference. As for gains, it`d need mapping for anything, and even then, a cat isnt very restrictive to start with, you can run 200bhp+ with the cat in place so you`ll get very little tbh

If you're keeping the standard exhaust IMHO you'd be better placed putting your funds toward a decat pipe from your local exhaust fabricator. Correct size etc and you can have flanges welded on if you want to bolt the cat back in come MOT time.

NB: it will pass an MOT without a cat!

Ive seen posts on here saying that, but no proof? Not saying its untrue mind. I'll b reet either way

Same. One post was from an MoT tester who heard it (I think anyway) at a VOSA conference or something. Not seen VOSA's word on the matter though, other than it's changing.

Thought I'd put it anyway, as personally I'd rather no buy something that made no difference, than spend £XX on it, only to find it's illegal 10 months later. :yes:
