Standard radio Octy VRS 03 plate .... randomly crackles then goes silent all around the car when i turn it off it makes like a high pitched 'meow' sound loud to quiet as its powered down (like the old Tvs when you used to turn them off if that makes any sense), sometimes turning the radio on and off again fixes it and sometimes not.

Cant find a pattern

Happening on both radio and CD, sometimes comes up NO CD but not often

Going to try and check the wires tommorow

anybody had this before? or know which wire to check

Make sure the permanent live (usually red) and ground (brown) are properly, and maybe try it with another stereo if you have access to one.

ok i dont have another radio yet, but ill give it a go on the wires and post results here :p
