Featured Replies

Hi guy's just after a little technical info(I have a Carbonio fitted bought car with it fitted..)

How much of an MPG increase will a Carbonio induction kit make.... against a standard airbox with a performance panel filter fitted

only asking as i always swore against induction kits and preferred a decent panel filter :wonder:

any info muchly appreciated

Dont expect a MPG increase with any air filter. Performance wise not much between the std air box with good filter and a CAI kit. Perhaps more when a car is mapped with a CAI on it. My car is mapped with a ABD CAI which works better for me than my std airbox does.

It depends on if you like the subtle look of a std airbox versas the look of a CAI and the deeper sucking noise that the CAI kit will give you. Why do you swear against them?

so basically personal choice more than performance gain...

I've had a Carbonio on now for about 4 weeks, haven't noticed any difference in mpg, but the car feels a lot stronger coming onto boost. Quite noisy is the only downside, plenty of sucking and dumping of boost when I lift off.
