Picked up a blue dsg petrol vrs today, been through loads of cars recently....think i've found one to keep now, love it. Only took 8 weeks to get here too.

You dont say if it was New or 2nd hand , or FL or per FL.

FL DSG boxes are the best around, ( specially having driven a 55 plate golf, plus new Octy & Fabia vRS with it)

Sorry, yes, 11 plate dsg petrol, racked up 45 miles on it so far, want to keep it smeling new, but have a pup that loves to roll in fox crap!!!

It sounds like it may have been a cancelled order if the dealer managed to get it for you in only 8 weeks. If so you are one lucky person as we've heard on here of people waiting for months to get their cars built and delivered. Hope you enjoy your new motor, nice choice.

Actually Petrol Octavias are coming through quite quickly. I ordered a vRS TSI DSG (same spec as OP) on 5 March and collect it on Saturday so that will be exactly 8 weeks from order to collection.

This was a factory order. The bigest delay seamed to be it was sat at Emden for over 2 weeks.

i ordered my new vrs tsi dsg last week and have been given a build date of week 24 which is the 3rd week in june i think.

I ordered my TSI DSG VRS Octavia on the last day of March (to avoid losing the VAT deal, which they then extended!!) and have been told to expect it no earlier September 1st!!! They checked the computer a week or so ago, initally it was a build week aroujnd the end of July for September 1st delivery, now it has no build date.

I was told similar but my dealer had a stock Octavia on order which had build week 24 as it's build date but they have changed the order to the spec I'm after and hopefully it keeps the same or earlier build date.
