Octavia Service/Works Print Out

Featured Replies

Hi Guys recently bought another octavia it comes with dealer service history and a company print out of all works done on it. The problem is it does not specify the exact work done on some occations just is marked as work done and the price.

If I contacted my local Skoda dealership would they be able to tell me what work it was?I do have invoice and account numbers. Or would I have to contact the dealer that did the work and would they tell me?

Thanks

Contact the dealer that did the work and they will have the full history. Any Skoda dealer will be able to see that it has been serviced, when. and the mileage.

I am basing this on VW though when i bought a Golf with a missing service book. My local dealer gave me the history but not parts or invoice history. They also told me which dealer did the service so i was able to phone them up and get a duplicate service book ordered and stamped up.

All i needed to tell them was the reg number.

Are you looking for the information for the service book or do you just want to know all the things that have been changed on the car? If it is the latter I would ask why you would bother spending time doing this as long as you have a full service history and the book is stamped up. What has or has not been replaced outside of the normal service schedule would see a little irrelevant and would be more information that 99% of second hand cars would be sold with. Also it would tell you little aboout what in the future might go wrong since just because it has been changed does not mean it will not fail again!!! or just because it has not been changed does not been it will fail anytime soon.
