a few ice questions

Featured Replies

im wanting to upgrade all of the speakers in my mk1 superb

but i need to know how many speakers and what size the speakers are so i can buy some before removing the old speakers.

im not able to strip anything out of the car until i am 100% sure i have everything needed to fit, this is because my superb is in use everyday... im a taxi driver.

also do the superbs come with an amp? if so where is it?

from having a quick look i can see a tweeters in the front doors and the obvious midrange speakers in the front and rear doors.

ia there any more?

ive also purchased this single din fascia kit - http://incarmusic.co.uk/product/2614-229/FP1703-Skoda-Octavia-II--Superb-Facia-Panel-Adaptor i hope its the correct one. do i need anything else to fit a single din headunit.?

thanks

ok ive just taken a look at the new single din kit i have - http://incarmusic.co.uk/product/2614-229/FP1703-Skoda-Octavia-II--Superb-Facia-Panel-Adaptor and i cannot work out how it is supposed to fit..??

im unsure if this panel fits around the one i have - http://incarmusic.co.uk/product/2611-229/DFP1703-Skoda-Octavia--II-Superb-Double-DIN-Facia-Adaptor

but what about the switches that are located at each side of the oe cd headunit.?

has anybody fitted an aftermarket single din headunit to there superb 3u .?

can i not simply remove the oe headunit and replace with an aftermarket one?

well it turns out i didn't even need the fascia parts i boughtemoticon-0145-shake.gif

its all done now,

ive had my alpine head unit fittted also with an alpine ktp-445 mini power amp, and at the same time had the parrott bluetooth thing removed as i hate them things.

also had a set of JL audio components fitted front and back.

i think the next thin will be sourcing a slimline space saving subwoofer.emoticon-0144-nod.gif
