Please help - Dump valve noise problem

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I have only owned my Octavia Vrs for 3 days so i dont know it inside out but.......

It has a Baileys dump valve on it that makes a noise, it sounds terribly like a donkey lmao

Im still getting the tssssh but the noise follows.

Sooooo ....... Tsssshh, Auurrrr lol

Best thing is to take it off, dump valves on 1.8t's are bad news.

Edited by wayned

Put a recirc on it.

OKAY now im going to sound sooooo thick but, i dont know anything about dump valves as i have never owned 1 before. All the turbo's ive ever had, ive never wanted to have one fitted so....... to my knowledge the dump valve would be fitted to the back of the turbo? and the turbo is at the back of my engine. BUT this is fitted to a pipe just under the plastic cover of my engine - see photo????

:S

remove the plastic cover and it's over to the right of where you have circled. Take the cover off and post another pic

So i was wrong in thinking it should be at the back??

Ok lol

Someone on another thread had said you would have to get under the car to see it lol
