Engine Number Location

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me where the engine number is on a 170hp CR motor is. Thanks

I seem to remember that on VAG engines the only engine number is on the sticker attached to the cambelt cover.

Engine with identification characters BMP, CBBB, BKD, CFFB,

CLJA, CFGB. The engine identification characters and serial

number are located at the engine/gearbox joint.

Engine with identification characters CAXC. The engine identification

character and the engine number can be found on the

sticker -arrow- at the timing case.

Hope this may help

Hi guys, I can't seem to find my engine number. The only sticker I can find is this. This is not the engine number, is it?

Yes, I believe it is. Should match what's on your V5c too.
