Columbus Sat Nav questions

Featured Replies

I've got the Columbus in my Superb and am reasonably happy with the SatNav functions. The only thing that I miss over my old Tomtom is the ability to plan routes in advance to be able to check that it's a sensible route (i.e. no farm tracks, etc). Is there a way of doing this on a Columbus (i.e. to start from a location other than where you are currently)?

The second question relates to the TMC. The messages often refer to a long stretch of road (e.g. J15 - J20 M6 which must be about 30 miles) but say it's a 2 mile stretch of congestion. The map seems to pinpoint it accurately enough, but how can you tell from the TMC message where it is?

Thanks

Paul

Don't know if you can do your first request. For the second one after pressing the TMC button and finding the long stretch of road (e.g. J15 - J20 M6 which must be about 30 miles) press this message and it shows a more exact location
