Hi guys,

The other night i was giving the old skoda abit of stick, spun threw 2nd went for 3rd then when rolled to the lights it took a slight bit of force to get the car out of 3rd gear, now 1st gear is where 3rd should be, 3rd is where 5th should be and no chance can i get 5th, and now you dont need to push down to get reverse just goes straight in reverse and when in neutral it feels really slack where as it used to be very tight, i know its got a quick shift on it and im pritty sure its linkage related, any ideas guys before i pull it apart?

Deffo sounds linkage to me. Something's vibrated loose or come off

Go through the linkage set up!

Put in neutral, lock the gear box and remove the linkages then refit them and they will be in the correct place!

Well i fixed it, the white nylon half moon shaped thing had come out of its location, and the bolt on the silver adjuster was loose, re-aligned it all, and tighten the nut and all seems fine again. Cheers for the help chaps!
