Unusual fault with Climatronic panel?

Featured Replies

For the first time today I have an issue with the Climatronic control panel. The external temperature has stopped displaying numbers, it just shows -- C. The unit still seems to work but I think it has lost the ability to modulate the fan speed depending on temperature function. The outside temperature display on the Maxidot is showing as normal. Never seen this before!

Any time I've seen anything similar, the fault has been with the air temp sensor. You'd really need VCDS to confirm this though.

If the Superb is the same as the Octy and Furbie, it has 2 ambiant temp sensors; one just for the climate, and one for the EMS and trip computer (if fitted).
