which double din unit

Featured Replies

Hi

I like the thought of a double din unit in my octy vrs mk1, which units are a direct fit? im looking to buy a second hand vw/skoda unit and would prefer something which does not need extensive rewiring recommendations please.

Thanks

Have you looked at an MFD, I fitted one last week, sound quality is better, sat-nav, connects to the cd changer and pretty straight forward to fit

Most aftermarket ones fit without any problems as after taking the lil cubby hole out it's double din sized. All you have to do with after market ones is change the live and switched live wires around

I fitted a unit from a Seat, got it from eBay with plug and play loom, had to cut a bit of plastic away from the back of the cradle to make room for the extra wiring, but no real problems fitting it thanks to someone on here giving me a fitting guide
