Weird thing earlier. Changed dipped beam bulb for a spare as it had blown, and the new one wouldn't light up either.... Had to go somewhere PDQ so took off anyway and a few seconds later the dipped bulb came into life whilst driving... and the warning light went out.

How odd! I thought they either worked or didn't, not - oh, well maybe now I will.

Relay on it's way out maybe?

Not exactly the same, but I was having issues with the bulb warning light appearing completely randomly for a long while, even though all of the bulbs were fine.

I solved it by pure chance. It seems to have been a relay under the drivers dash. As I was digging under there I pressed on all the relays I could see just to make sure, and a large black relay felt a bit loose and clicked in to place. A few days later the bulb warning light lit up again - my heart stopped until I realised that I actually really had a bulb out this time. I've never been happier in my life It's been fine since.

I was driving home the other night when 4 bulbs went, both dipped and full. I thought this was very strange, was praying it was just a fuse or something. The fuses and bulbs are fine so we're thinking its a bad relay but this is the first time we've had to go under the hood of a Skoda (after a succession of Fiestas...many, many Fiestas) and we can't find where the relay is on a 2008 Fabia.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks in advance.

How random. On saturday my glowplug light started flashing constantly while driving, i got home and checked on here to find it was a warning for no brake lights. I checked and they werent working, a few pedal pumps later they worked and have been fine since!

Hmmm

Mine is coming on intermittently and I can't work out why, the brake bulb is fine and is fixed in properly. There doesn't appear to be any loose connections. I'm beginning to wonder if it's a problem with the brake pedal switch mechanism??

Anyone out there know??

There is a brake switch on the pedal that plays up from what i read, about £9 ish from skoda? Probably gone up in price now!
