Ideas on price?

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Due to some unforeseen circs I may need to consider selling my VRS before though I wondered what peoples opinion on price would be:

2004 54 black magic VRS

81,000 miles

1 previous owner

Full Skoda service history, every MOT and reciept for servicing and maintenance including the original sale ticket since new.

It'll be taxed, MOT for another year and have had a service and a window regulator replaced before a sale.

The car is in very good condition with only a peppering of stone chips on the front bumper and bonnet, unmarked alloys and very good tires to boot, the car is completely standard and has an unused full sized spare alloy.

What are peoples thoughts incase the worst happens?

From Parkers:

Used Car Valuation

Skoda Fabia vRS (03-07)

Guide Price

Original Price £12,250

Franchised Dealer £5,185

Independent Dealer £4,790

Private Good £4,200

Private Poor £3,020

Part Exchange £3,560

Adjust for mileage and options for an accurate price.

Average mileage 70,000

Options fitted None

That value is for a Fabia and I am gussing its a Octavia the OP has as its in the Octavia section?

I would have thought about £4K as that seems to be what they are worth on Autotrader although as the vRS is a bit of a specialist market it might take a while to sell.

Indeed it's an octavia guys with the way things are going it's hard to justify having two cars in a household!

my mistake haha:

Hatchback:

Private Good £3,000

Private Poor £2,355

Part Exchange £2,590

Estate:

Private Good £3,305

Private Poor £2,595

Part Exchange £2,855

Of course depends on extras... but the basic above will give you an idea i hope !!!

I got £3500 for my 54 plate vRS when I traded it in last month.

£3k, but advertise for £3,499 and be prepared to drop if you get no takers.

If cambelt is due then you might have to do something on price to allow for this.

Good luck

Wow £3500 is good for a trade in value...I'm not going to let it go for peanuts especially as it will be serviced, MOT'D and has had cambelt already done etc

Thanks for your help all!
