Wanted advice - Great bodyshop in Athens, Greece

Featured Replies

Well, haven't posted in ages on here, but finally got the Scout in Feb and had a great 5 months ownership so far.

I'm away on holiday in Austria, having a great time, seen a load of Skodas and quite a few Scouts (50/50 between Diesel and Petrol).

BUT

I got a horrible call on wednesday morning, a muppet in a lorry, which was delivering milk products to the corner shop forgot to close the rear door properly. He drove past my daily, door swung open and hit the rear of the car. He stopped, closed the door and drove off!!! :o :o

Well anyway, my neighbour saw him, got the details from the corner shop and I got the insurance lawyers (legal protection, phew!!!) involved.

The question is, I've been sent the pictures and it looks pretty bad. Any opinions? Looks like the rear pillar will have to be replaced? Is it possible? Don't fancy a car full of bondo... its only 5 months old :-[. Do any Greek member know of any good bodyshops (insurance and Skoda approved preferably) in Athens, Greece?

Anyway, here are the photos:

Thanks a million

Ouch - not sure how many Greek members we have on here. I would let the insurance sort it out as that is definitely a real mess!

did the police do anything?

Hi Sector9, sorry to hear/see about your motor, after seeing the rear end of mine rebuilt i am pretty certain they will have to replace the rear pillar, but if your workshop is as good as mine was you will not be able to see the difference. Good luck emoticon-0148-yes.gif

Thanks for the advice.

Just got back and seen it in the flesh for the first time. Its awful but not as bad as I'd made it up to be in my mind...

Police weren't interested, said I can sue the guy (typical Greek attitude...)

Anyway will see what the insurance says tomorrow.

As it turns out, I married into a Greek family. They live in Byron in Athens so I have sent an e-mail to ask the question. My farther-in-law use to be a taxi driver (one of few the good ones...) so should have a few ideas for you I hope. What part of Athens are you in?????

Will post once I have had a responce.
