Fabia Brakes

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Im have a few questions about the brakes on a fabia vRS:-

* What kind of life should i expect from the pads? im on 19900 now.

* what pads does it use?

* Are there any better pads on the market?

* prices? where to get them?

* How accurate is the "check brake pads" light? i.e. does it always come on?

Im asking becaus eim getting shakey as to when my pads will be up!! Dont want to be scratching the discs!!!

Cheers for the info in advance

Uhm, I don't think the fabia vrs has a pad sensor built in. It's one of the items required for variable servicing.

The mileage will vary of course depending on the driving you do. A roads and lots of town driving will kill pads a lot quicker than 100 miles down the motorway everyday. Only thing you can do to be sure is take the wheel off and have a look I think.

In terms of "better" pads, what do you mean? Pads which stop the car quicker, give out less dust or last longer? If it's better biting capabilities, there are various 3rd parties who make better pads. I went for a 312mm upgrade which is very good VFM but will set you about

Is that

If you want to maintain your warranty you'll have to go with Skoda pads...

Is that

The green brake pads for the Fabia vRS is something that I have been looking in to.

They are fast road ones.

They are not available yet , but I think it could only be about another month.

I have been on their case for about 3 months now.

As soon as I know you will all know.
