I'm looking at the possibility of towing a car trailer with a 1245kg car on it using my superb. Parkers list the max braked towing weight of the superb as being 1600kg and my guess is any trailer is lightly to weigh more than 365kg... So, I'm guessing it's a no no. Unless there is something I have got wrong? I'm sure I've read about people towing cars on here?

I don't have a Superb but do regularly tow a car. I have a pretty heavy duty tilt bed trailer and it weighs 690kg. The maths you've done is correct and so you'll be needing a lightweight trailer. A Brian James Clubman might be within the limits for you, but to be honest you might be pushing it a bit and it might be a bit unstable.

You have got it wrong, the trailer could be a maximum of 355Kg.

Sorry, that doesn't really help with your weight issue.
