How to activate remote windows

Hi everyone,

I'm after some help on behalf of a friend, he has a 54 plate skoda Fabia VRS and would like to activate remote windows, I've been succesful doing this on my VW Golf Mk 4 so said I will help him.

I currently has a fully licensed version of vcds 10 and vds pro so will be able to use either of these, I had to use vds pro on my golf but I have read conflicting pieces saying that on the 54 plate Fabia you use vcds and some say vds pro.

Could anyone please tell me if it is possible to activate this feature and if so what software do you actually use, also if anyone can tell me what addresses need to be changed and what their new values should be it would be greatly appreciated, his current CCM is 6Q0959433E.

That's exactly the same CCM as in mine.

I had to use VDS pro.

Hi everyone,

Been a few weeks since I first asked this and have finally had time to go and see my mate and try this with no success. Although the module is the same as Phil's the original entries were not, they were 138 instead of 10 for all three locations.

I attempted to use the value of 2 as sugeested by Phil with no success (didn't really expect any), also tried the value of 130 which I know works on the VW Golf Mk4's with an original coding of 138.

Can anyone tell me where to go from here, are the addresses given by Phil the right ones (I'm sure they are though) and what values should I be trying, if it helps the back windows are manual so only the 2 front ones need activating.

Hmm. That's odd. I wonder if its because it only have electric front windows.

I will look on laptop tomorrow as I saved all the coding variations in a word document and will see if anything matches up with what you have there.

Well for reference I will post up my whole list I have.

There are a couple that have the origina value of 138. You have tried 130 as per a 2004 golf but there are others that have 138 that are changed to another value:

Anyone get an answer for this and VDS pro for the fabia Vrs?

Still not worked it out. I tried with a fellow briskodian's Fabia vRS but couldn't find the right values and didn't want to go changing them with not knowing what it could do.

His CCM was the same as mine (6Q0 959 433E) but was coded differently and had 138 as the original values but changing to 130 as above doesn't do it.

It must be down to how the module is coded differently for the Fabia. I have done 4x Ibiza's and an Octavia without problems but the fabia is coded completely differently.

I have done this change on my Fabia, but first remember this:

Your Fabia has to be produced before the facelift, i.e. until June 2004!

If your Fabia is produced after facelift 2004, below procedure will not work even with same CCM.

Here is procedure c/p:

Don´t forget to write down the original values of following addresses! Do not use this when you have the "driver´s door unlocked first" feature activated on your car - autowindow works only when all doors are unlocked = 2x unlock and hold...

Then follow these steps:

comfort 46

login 11 - 19283

27 - recoding into eeprom

4361 - deduct 8

4362 - deduct 8

4363 - deduct 8

It seems your Polo has LIN-BUS for windows like Fabia 1 after FL. Only cars with CAN BUS can do above mentioned change with VDS PRO.If you open 46 with VCDS and if you don't have response from each door like this - that means you don not have CAN BUS (you have LIN BUS):

Ironically most of the time i used to turn them off in the dealer as people got fed up of coming back to find their car with the windows open.

I acidentally opened the windows on a VW Touareg the other day. It was dark and I though I was pressing and holding the boot button to open the electronic tailgate then the windows started rolling down. Slightly annoying when trying to open the boot to place the big basket of takeaway food in it! lol

 

Other than that I find the remote windows very handy.

My car is a Polo 2007, with retrofited 9N 2003 motor via can bus (front + rear).

 

So i did that VUK say below, seem to work but i have a litle problem now.

 

 

 

My rear windows are inversed, also in buttoms, when i press down they go up etc....

 

Any ideas ?
