octavia injector

Featured Replies

i have an 03 1.9 tdi estate and over the last few days it sounds like it is missing on start up but improves when warmed up. at my local garage during a service yesterday they said it needs an injector at £180 fitted, is this an average price for an injector these days?

i cant use the car for 4 weeks so im not in a rush but im concerned that if i use it( or my son borrows it ) in the present condition i will damage the biomass flywheel as per the other injector thread.

my knowledge of engines is limited so if you answer can you keep it simple please, many thanks

update on price from local main dealer, cylinder 3 £516, any other cylinder £278

If your car is an '03 you would have been better posting this on the Octavia I forum.

I've never heard of a duff injector causing problems with the dual mass flywheel though (I assume you mean this not 'biomass flywheel' :smirk: ). Injector problems are sometimes misdiagnosed as dual mass flywheel problems, and vice-versa, however.
