Thanks to Ben @ Shark Performance

Everyone is quick to post moans & gripes on the internet, but when someone really does help out I figured its worth praising them as well.

2 weeks ago my car conked out on the m25, with Injector faults being read by the RAC. The garage I had it recovered to confirmed this. As per the well known VOSA/Injector thread in this forum i contacted Skoda and had my car recovered to my ''local'' Skoda Dealership who checked the car over and got back to me saying it was the ECU - much to be disappointment.

The original garage denied this, but weren't much use in terms of how I'd prove Skoda wrong. In desperation (if it was the injectors, skoda would pay ...if its the ECU i pay) I rang Ben up (he did my dpf & remap) and asked his advice. Replacing the ECU was a nightmare solution for me, and Skoda weren't interested in much else.

Hearing the story & fault codes Ben was adament it was the injectors and swore blind on it, giving me the confidence to lean on the Skoda dealership more. When i told them to check each of the injectors individually, and if they all proved fine to bill me for the extra diagnostics they agreed. 24 hours later they came back to me very very humbly confirming it was actually injector #2 and not the ECU. Within a day or so they had the injectors all replaced and car returned to me free of charge! :D

So a big thank you to Ben for being so good answering my questions and giving me lengthy advise on what to tell Skoda and how to get them to diagnose the car correctly. Also in working out a solution to if it was the ECU and how I'd get my car up to him for him to replace it instead of Skoda! :)

Praise indeed.

Ben knows his stuff alright

Glad its now sorted for you

Thats Ben, he's a damn good bloke and goes the extra distance to help people out.

I can also vouch for ben and his staff being excellent. At GTI inter 2011 he came over to my car as he recognised it from when he did the DPF removal and map. He told me to drop it off at his trade stand next day ad he would over write my map with his most upto date one free of charge. Cant say fairer than that :)

I wished I lived near him. Heard so much of his competency and cant praise enough.

I drove 3 hours to get there to sort a flat spot and Ben and Cheryl were great and now my car is 100%. A lot to be said of customer service

I wished I lived near him. Heard so much of his competency and cant praise enough.

So do I ..... but I am still making the 220 mile journey (each way :o ) next week
