I am thinking about adding a few USB ports to the car so I can charge certain bits electrical items.

How do I go about wiring them up and what options do I have face plates I can put them in?

I want to put 4 usbs in the glove box creating a hub and a sigular one located on the a pillar.

put a lead from a switched 12 volt supply (fusebox,radio)into the glove box.On the end fit a cigarette lighter type socket.You can then use it for 12 volt supply,GPS,MPS, etc.You can also plug in a 12 volt to 5 volt USB adaptor,when needed.
