R32 R-Line fits Octavia?

Featured Replies

Hey guys! I have been looking for a R32 R-Line steering wheel, and finally found it for a good price! My question is now, will the steering wheel fit in my Octavia? And what about the airbag, can I use a Octavia RS airbag in that steering wheel, or do I have to use the VW GTi airbag in it? Hope to hear from you! Thanks alot :)

mk4 r32 steering wheel will, mk5 wont (without some mods) have seen it done tho.

use your airbag, with the r32 wheel

indeedy the mk4 r32 steering wheel (not sure why you say r-line too) will fit with a 1u2 rs steering wheel airbag

Bananas what? :D

And I can't find it secondhand, that's why I would buy that :( :(

lol sorry, my stupid sense of humour!

joking aside, they are nice, but not that much nice, they are only slightly bigger than the vrs wheel, you considered those?

Hahaha, you've got what we call "sort humor", black humour! :D

Is the R32 wheel bigger than the VRS wheel?! Cause I have had my thought's about the VRS too, but again, can't find them secondhand.. And actually it would like prettier if it is all RS original, when it only is a 1,9 TDi - we got so high taxes in Denmark :( Haha

Loved my R32 wheel on my mk4 Golf. Paid £120 for a new one  . Make sure you disconnect the battery when fitting it or the airbag light will come on.

I think I buy a VRS steering wheel instead, I can't find R32 wheel to a great price, so the idea is dropped again. And I know about the airbag and battery, I am studying mechanic, and in these days actually about airbag ;)

I have fitted one of these to my VRS, so yes they do fit. Yes you can use your std Skoda Airbag as fits straight on. You need your std airbag anyway as that is linked to your ECU I beleive

The R line is the name VW give to the steering wheel as it is not labelled Golf R32 on it.

I had mine fitted for only a week and got fed up with it to be honest. Too thick and actually made the car feel harder to steer. The std VRS steering wheel is great and as it has textured rim, suits the Skoda better IMO. Certainly if you are fitting to a none VRS the VRS wheel is a much cheaper option. And no way would i pay that price for a steering wheel. I paid £80 for mine second hand but needed the leather recoating with dye.
