Mine has always whistled, hopefully it is ok. I have never had a problem to date.

A friend of mine brought to my attention when I first got the car. Never really thought anything of it.

my turbo was replaced back in March and I do find myself listening to the various noises and thinking is it normal. However I've come to the conclusion that the car is punchy, I don't get any errors so everything must be OK

My original turbo was silent in operation then suddenly started making police siren like noises, in Wiltshire after I accelerated to turn right. Ran on it for a month, without an increase in noise levels, before Skoda garage replaced it in February ,under warranty, after various checks. New turbo makes a gentle whistle at low road speeds ,in the lower gears, when accelerating. Any other speeds the road roar drowns all else out!
