EPC light

Featured Replies

I've had my EPC light come on three times now in a couple of weeks.

Situation is always the same. It's the first time the car is driven in the day, I reverse it out of the garage and about 20 to 30 yards up the road. Put into first gear and pull away and EPC light comes on. Turning the engine off and on again clears it.

It first happened about 2 weeks ago, and it's happened the last two mornings.

I'm going to take it to my dealer tomorrow to get the fault codes read.

Anyone else experienced this? It's an 11 plate vRS TSi.

Nope and I've done 7.5k miles in mine. Might have something to do with your map maybe?

Unlikely I'd say, the map's been on from day 2 and for 7k+ miles before this happened.

Reading around it could be anything from a MAF sensor fault to something to doing with the accelerator / throttle electronics

A scan with VCDS would reveal all. ;)

I know, times like this that I wish I had one!
