Intercooler pipes

Featured Replies

Greetings folks. this is my first post on here, but i have been reading stuff for quite a while. I now find myself with a bit of a problem...

I am a bit of a narna, because after changing my timing belt, i neglected to secure the hard plastic intercooler pipe which passes the front of the timing cover. Upon driving the car, the turbo pressure forced the pipe onto the power steering pulley, and rubbed a glorious hole in it.

I now need a new/ replacement part but have not managed to find an exact part number match.

My engine is a totally standard 1.9tdi with the AGR code, and the part numbers i have retrieved are as follows:-

ZSB 1J0 145 762 P

PA6 -GF 15>

1J0 145 770 J

SB6

There is a gent on ebay with part no 1J0 145 762 AM, and although the picture looks identical, both he and myself are not certain that it will fit.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated, but before i go, if i was to need a new turbo at a later date, what would be the benefit of going BIGGER, and what else apart from a turbo would i need.

Thanks all, even if you only learn from my mistakes. ha ha

It looks like the same part number as yours, its just the last 2 letters not sure if they mean much or if that is a super seeded part number or not
