What do i need to watch out for with Mk1 fabia?

Featured Replies

hi all just put a deposit down on a 2001 y reg fabia comfort 1.4 8 valve, bargain at only 500quid and only 106k on clock and a tonne of receipts/history etc, now reason car is so cheap is the power steering and engine management lights are both on, with a complete loss of power steering, listening to the car run today i heard a little rattle coming from aux belt area, but couldnt quite pinpoint exactly where this was coming from, all im really wanting to know is, in regards to the steering is it worth changing the angle sensor and pump?? and the rattling, could this be the tensioner? and lastly what are the well known common faults? so i can read through the receipts and history and see what has already been done and what needs to be done next to keep this motor going strong,

thanks in advance
