suspension`

Featured Replies

any advice on suspension, mine is standard and the rear is a little bouncy when going over speed humps. not a great understanding of cars so any advice on what to do to a fix the issue or b ugrade the suspension would be much appreciated

You can't just stiffen the rear suspension as it will upset the balance of the car's handling.

Use the search, a lot of people recommend fitting a rear ARB (anti roll bar), this will not stiffen the suspension but will reduce body roll on the rear axle and improve handling (from what I've read, haven't fitted one to mine). As for suspension upgrade your two main choices are lowering springs or coilovers, again use the search to see what is recommended.

Rear arb is a must, will make the car handle much better.

As for the suspension if you want a hard ride go for coilovers, I have kw variant 1 they do transform the handling.

Koni fsd seams to be a popular choice with H and R springs.

i have weitec hicon GT coilovers and it's the best investment i ever made. I would recommend to sort out the suspension before adding anti roll bars.

Have the springs ever been changed? Just that the rear springs have a habit of breaking and the only place for vrs spings are the dealers. Just wondering if someones put the wrong ones on? Been knowen for places like kwickfit putting wrong ones on

See whats what.

First off mate Id add the RARB, Whitline 22mm or 24mm

see how that is for you.

You can get the FSD's and std springs too to keep the same std ride hight but the shocks are better and I think a bit firmer.

If you want hard then Coilovers as said,

Weitec Hicon GT best bang for buck imho or if your really feeling flush get the ultimate coilovers for the car.... KW V3 Fully adj. Not fitted mine yet(still)

even with weitecs the rear is a bit bouncy as in more than the front but I put that down to the fact its got a big bum lol. with the KWv3 you can adjust the settings to cancel that out lol so would be much much better and you can change it to how you want it. thing is they are £1300+
