Had thi Have this problem with the intermittent instrument fault, took it to our local electronics shop for repair/resolder - £45. Still the same but with added fault of no mileage shown just a blank screen. Think I will have to try & get a used cluster now but what can be causing the original fault? I understand some spares are the same as the V.W. passat & Golf is that correct or does it just apply to some parts. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Usually its the 2 voltage regulators on the cluster that cause the problems. There's a how to repair on here somewhere. Try doing a search.
